C. Max Zygmont
Associate
Max Zygmont’s practice combines strength in core environmental programs with a focus on emerging environmental issues, such as carbon management and sustainability. In terms of traditional environmental practice, Max advises clients regarding the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and Superfund. Max's work in these areas has taken place at both the state and federal levels and in all contexts, from transactions and permitting to civil enforcement and citizen suits.
In addition, Max regularly provides advice to clients regarding the impacts and requirements of current and emerging national and international regimes limiting greenhouse gas emissions. Max brings his strength in the carbon management space to bear in the transactional setting by, for example, providing advice on carbon credit financing and the status of geologic carbon storage rights. Max's status as a LEED Accredited Professional further enables him to provide comprehensive, cutting-edge advice to clients on the full range of sustainability issues they face.
